This notice explains what Cartelier Pte Ltd collects when you use this website or enquire about a vehicle, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What this website collects
This website has no enquiry forms, no accounts, no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. It does not set cookies. Browsing these pages does not create a record about you.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string — which exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you.
What we collect when you contact us
If you telephone or email us, we keep what you tell us so that we can answer you and, if matters proceed, so that we can represent or sell a vehicle properly. That typically means:
- Your name and the contact details you give us
- The vehicle you are asking about, or the vehicle you want to sell
- What was discussed, so the next person you speak to is not starting again
If a transaction proceeds, we will need the documents a vehicle transfer in Singapore requires. We will tell you what those are at the time, and why each one is needed.
Why we may keep it
To answer your enquiry, to carry out a sale or consignment you have asked us to carry out, and to keep the records that Singapore law requires a motor dealer to keep.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only where it is necessary to complete something you have asked for — for example with the Land Transport Authority for a transfer, with an insurer or financier you have chosen, or with our professional advisers where we are required to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are not kept indefinitely. Transaction records are kept for the period Singapore law requires, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and withdraw your consent to our continuing to use it. We will respond within a reasonable time and tell you if withdrawing consent means we can no longer act for you.
Data Protection Officer
Write to our Data Protection Officer at hello@cartelier.sg, or by post to the showroom address on the contact page, marked for the attention of the Data Protection Officer.
